New user and QUITE impressed! Hey, just had to stop in and post..
Was looking for a replacement for CDisplay and was having no luck finding something that would build a reference library, only basic readers.
I hit the Wiki entry for CBR/CBZ and found your site there. :)
I have now pimped you out to most of my friends that read digital comics - I love the software!
One thing I've noticed after two crashes while updating the metadata for my comics - there's no way to "save" your library unless you log out. Any way to build in an "autowrite" feature that kicks in every 5 minutes or so? That way, the loss of work is minimal with a crash. Having to edit a group of entries and exit/restart the app is really a pain. :)
I love the library functions so far - I have also noticed, however, that you can't alter where the library XML files are saved, even when you update the Library location in the settings.
I'll be pimping your program in the days to come, so hopefully you will see some traffic increases. :)

Yes is in the works. I will put something in that will write updates to the disk in the background.
BTW i made a quick look into the scan process and learned that it can crash with network shares and that existing info is not correctly retrieved from eComics (like described in http://comicrack.blogspot.com/2006/06/word-about-database-and-meta.html)
I will correct this in the next release (as usual on the weekends).

Hehe. I like it when i put features in that i do not use myself. That way i make sure they do not work :) I look into it.

I'm happy about every help i can get. Also about every feedback.
You know, a medium to long term goal would be to build a kind of community around it, including an online database where ComicRack can be the frontend.

This would be a great goal - one of the challenges I have seen now that I have the ability to enter the meta data is FINDING it without having to open every issue to get it.
Any help I can provide, I will. I'm still telling people about the app this morning. :)
